C1 Driving Test
This course and test provides the necessary LGV/HGV Licence for using any of the above vehicles. Its usually a two day course with the test itself being conducted on the second day and your reversing examination on day one with one of our own examiners at our own training facility.
The course and test are conducted in our 7.5t Van.
If you passed your car test from 1 January 1997 onwards
You are not eligible to drive a C1 at all and will need to pass this test.
Licences held before 1 January 1997
If you passed your car test before 1 January 1997 you are generally entitled to drive a c1 vehicle for private use only – (NOT for hire or reward)
Our courses run week days usually and are held at Tockwith near Wetherby in Yorkshire
You will need to have passed your LGV Theory Test and Hazard Awareness Test before embarking on any training in a vehicle.
Before this you will have gained your provisional licence and LGV Medical.
Price £700 + vat + DVSA Test Fee £115
You may also need a Mod4 CPC Exam depending on why you need the C1 licence. Ambulance drivers are exempt and you wont need it to drive your own motorhome. However some Horsebox users may need this qualification if they are moving other peoples horses.
